NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST // Skincare Review

Hey guys, welcome to my first skincare product review!! Today I have chosen to review some of the products on the Neutrogena Hydroboost line. I have been using these products for about 2 months now and have been loving most of them so far. Firstly, let me introduce you to my skin. Combination oily, yet somehow also dry, acne-prone, sensitive skin, meet audience. Yeah it's not easy being in my crazy temperamental skin, but I know it could be worse and it has improved a lot so far. So I am here to tell you about my journey, how I got here to a better, clearer, skin and provide some tips along the way. So let's get into it!

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST SHEET MASK $19.99

All of these products I grabbed from my local Priceline. This sheet mask comes in a pack of 5 and is supposed to increase hydration and make your skin glowy and radiant.

Provides 6 x more Hyaluronic Acid than Neutrogena Hydro Boost Serum for an intensified moisture boost. Even after the mask is removed the concentrated formula works beneath the skin to continuously hydrate throughout the night." This mask is also dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic.

My skin is very sensitive and can be very acne-prone. I tend to seek out non-comedogenic products so that the product does not clog my pores and therefore doesn't cause any annoying bumps that will most definitely leave dark spots all over my face.

Putting on this mask it stings a little and tingles at first, but then goes away and is nothing but soothing and relaxing. This mask is left on for 15 minutes before it is taken off and the residual gel rubbed into the skin. No rinsing needed!! I can't say if the mask does or does not provide 6 x my skin moisture, but it definitely does improve the skins luminosity and moisture the day after. When I apply this mask at night, my skin looks a lot more radiant the morning after, but the glowiness only seems to last a day.

Pros:
Dermatologist tested
Non-comedogenic
Smells nice
Makes your skin glow
Good value for money

Cons:
Strong fragrance
Stings a little at the start

Rating: 4/5

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST EYE ROLL-ON $19.99

Specially formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Olive Extract and Ionic Mineral Complex help continuously release intense moisture around the delicate eye area. Combined with the rollerball applicator that gently massages the skin to help stimulate blood circulation and moisturise dry skin, you will be left looking and feeling rejuvenated. Also helps to reduce dullness, firm up skin and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines for a brighter looking eye area.Dermatologist tested. Oil-free. Non-Comedogenic. Alcohol-free.

I really like this roll on serum for your under eyes. It is super cooling and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It doesn't fully depuff the eyes, but it does just enough to make you look slightly more awake and like you didn't stay up all night writing a product review. I use this every morning in placement of my old Origins eye roll on. This is a great affordable product if you want to test it out.

Pros:
Cooling
Alcohol free
Non-comedogenic
Dermatologist Tested
Oil-Free
Good value for money

Cons:
Doesn't de-puff

Rating: 3/5

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST SERUM $27.99

This serum claims to make your skin soft and supple after applying it.

With a purified and condensed Hyaluronic Acid formulation, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Serum restores up to 3 times higher moisture to your skin. The self hydrating system addresses the root cause of inner dryness, so your skin can stay soft, supple and bouncy with a radiant, healthy glow.
Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Oil-free. Non-comedogenic.

The texture of this serum is very light and is quite runny. I love that this serum is oil free and allergy tested, but I don't think this product is necessary to your skincare regime. I did find that this serum made my skin incredibly soft and feel almost like velvet, but that's about it. I think it is a nice addition, but definitely not necessary.

Pros:
Makes your skin super soft
Dermatologist tested
Allergy tested
Oil Free
Non-comedogenic

Cons:
Fragrance included
Doesn't seem to do much

Rating: 2/5

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST WATER GEL $24.99

This is by far my favourite product of the Hydroboost line I am reviewing. I used to use Cetaphil moisturising face and body cream day and night, but found that it was very thick and oily and sat on top of my skin. My foundation and BB creams would look very shiny and slick after application. Using a gel instead of a cream is a great way to instantly hydrate the skin while controlling the amount of oil produced. This is definitely great at toning down the oil on my T-zone and doesn't break me out at all.

With innovative Progressive Release System, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel continuously releases moisture for a full 24 hours. Its light-weight gel cream formula with Hyaluronic acid and Olive extract assist to lift your moisture levels, for soft and supple skin with a healthy looking, radiant glow. Dermatologist tested. Allergy Tested. Oil-free. Non-Comedogenic.

Pros:
Absorbs quickly
Controls oil production
Non-greasy finish
Dermatologist tested
Allergy tested
Oil-free
Non-comedogenic

Cons:
Fragrance included

Rating: 5/5
